Mark B. Taylor, M.D., Co-Founder

Dr. Taylor is a world-renowned dermatologist and cosmetic laser surgeon who has been in practice for over thirty years. Since the origination of laser treatments for skin, Dr. Taylor has been a leader in the field of cosmetic laser surgery, pioneering and teaching many new laser techniques to over 4,000 doctors world-wide. Dr. Taylor and his well-trained staff use leading-edge products and over twenty-eight different lasers to provide a range of high-quality services including removal of birthmarks, hair, scars, spider veins, and tattoos; skin rejuvenation and resurfacing; eyelid restoration and lip enhancement; tumescent liposuction and cosmetic skin surgery, acne, cellulite, and stretch mark treatments.

Dr. Taylor received his medical degree from the University of Utah and is board-certified in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery as well as many other professional organizations. He was the first doctor in the world to use the Krypton and VeinLase lasers for the treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions. Dr. Taylor was one of the first researchers to use the PhotoDerm, Derma K, Cynergy and MX 1540 Lasers. Many physicians have traveled to Gateway for instruction from Dr. Taylor on advanced techniques in laser resurfacing. In addition, Dr. Taylor has developed new techniques for many other laser treatments and cosmetic surgery which he performs on a regular basis in his busy practice in Salt Lake City.

Dr. Taylor is a dedicated husband and father of eight children. He is an outdoor sporting enthusiast and is actively involved in church and community affairs. Dr. Taylor and his staff look forward to serving you.

Marc K. Ward, Chief Scientific Officer

Marc K. Ward serves as chief scientific officer and oversees, product concept development, formulation development, formula and final product stability assessment, management of clinical trials, manufacturer management, scale up of development formulas, quality assurance work and turn key delivery of finished goods.

For the past 20 years in the industry Marc has been a research and development scientist in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing and personal care environments. Marc has been a formulated over a thousand commercially available personal care, cosmetic and drug products for some of the leading pharmaceutical and personal care companies in the world. Most recently Marc was the Senior Science Manager at NuSkin International, Inc. specializing in new technologies and treatment modalities. While at NuSkin Marc was the lead scientist in the development of the 180°? Anti-Aging Skin Therapy? project, one of the most successful product launches in NuSkin’s history. Marc also created a line of products for supermodel Christie Brinkley.

Marc is well networked with leading scientists in the industry and has managed and designed many clinical studies for efficacy, safety and claim substantiation with clinical research and testing laboratories at the University of California at San Francisco Department of Dermatology, University of California at Irvine Department of Dermatology, Stanford University Department of Dermatology, and many others in the private sector.

Marc graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Pre-Professional Zoology and Chemistry minor. He has also completed graduate course work in Human Anatomy, Biology of Cancer, and Microbiology at Brigham Young University and Sonoma State University.

Marc is a devoted husband and father who enjoys the great outdoors, mountain biking, skiing and climbing.
